The Camas-Washougal Historical Society is inviting community members to connect to your past at the annual Heritage Day celebration, Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Two Rivers Heritage Museum, 1 Durgan Street in Washougal.
Heritage Day features free admission to the museum, historic exhibits about Camas and Washougal, interesting vendors, live music and raffles for a Pendleton car blanket as well as three Cartier teddy bears. Hot dogs, lemonade, sundaes and root beer floats, plus plants and books will be offered for sale.
Demonstrations will include creating rugs on the museum’s antique traveling loom and operating the walking spinning wheel.
Live music will be performed by Another Shade of Blue Grass and Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Society will bring their old engines and equipment to demonstrate. Also taking part in the day are the Clark County Flying Eagle A’s Car Club, representatives of the USO, Navy Mothers, Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteers from the Camas/Washougal Fire Department.
